Crazy, Sick, and Gross Christmas

Ok,
This starts Christmas Eve; mom every year will not let us do anything inside until Christmas Eve. Now the thing is that she kept putting off bringing in the tree and taking down the boxes so I had to push her to do that at 11:30am so the rest of the day was kind of crazy. Then at about 4pm I started to feel sick (headache runny nose and tired) so by the time of Church at 5pm (only time of year I go) I felt really really bad. So I when to bed at 8pm and slept in as well.
When I got up though we opened presents at home and then spent 6 to 7 hours at my Aunt S house with family. We ate and talked and just had a nice time. By the time we left though it was so late we decide not to got to the movies but stay home and watch some of the movies mom got for Christmas (thanks Elaine)
Mom decided to do dishes before we did the big Christmas cooking that is when a gross thing happened. We have a two-sink kitchen sink and she was sending water down one and it was not going so she turned on the garbage disposal, which was connected to that sink. The water when down only to come up the other one black and really really really stinky.
So our Christmas dinner was done at Denny’s. It was not a bad meal plus the chicken we were planning to have had not fully defrosted so we will have it today.
Today we discovered that mom's Christmas candle (light a candle on Christmas Eve to help Guided St. Joseph and leave it lit all night) poured wax down the sink and blocked it so it could not drain. The plumber took the pipe off to get all the wax out and now it works fine
Now lets see what New Year brings

Long Weekend

This last weekend was just soooo busy.
First Friday I had to go shopping for a party dress I got one that I liked the look of but mom when she saw it latter that night though it sucked so I took it back and I found something the next morning.
Now late Friday I also picked up a cute little car. It is a two seated no door car which I will put a photo of on flikr. I had to drive it around to get use to it. Then I set it up for a charge. I had it to drive it for the night of the Christmas tree lane lighting to carry stuff and people.
The next day I found out that because of the old wiring in our house it never charged the car and I found this out three hours before I needed it and it takes four hours to charge. So we set it to charge and prayed
We needed it so I used it.
It sprinkled a little right before the show and then it stopped. Then just as the band marched down the street and the lights came on bam it starts raining and then the rain pours down as I drive Mrs. Altadena down the hill. Then as we go up the rain slows and then stops and so does the car. The batteries die just as I hit the library parking lot driveway. Luckily for me it was coming back up. We push it into the lot and let it sit as we pack up. If we let it sit the batter gets enough juice to take it down the hill.
After we pack the car starts and I take it to the Wards and we eat drink and talk.
The next day mom leaves for her quilting class.
That night my office has its party. This is the big one with over 200 people. It was fun I took Amy and we ate talked and danced again late into the night.
I had fun but it just wore me down.
