Hi

I just found a way to up load photos on to the internet and felt that I just had to post this photo of one of my cats who just had to see that the camera was all about. It also happens to be one that I really love.

It finally happened the Santa Anita winds which in the last few years have not hit this part of LA finally hit and hit hard.

Not only are there downed trees and parts but also we will have to replace part of the roof on the tents house. Because the top layer of the shingles were blown off. Also more the neighbor fence fell down this time on the rose bush and made it bend at a 45-degree angle so it may not live much longer. We also have palm froms that the neighbors took down in the last week which were not picked up by the trash company because they are not in bins are now all over are yard and damaged some of are plants as well.

This also means we can't work on the pluming but what we have done will last until the weather is good to work on it. This is because after the winds stop we are predicted to get rain over the weekend.

Well yesterday we got to the end of the day and could only stop the leak and not fix it. This is not to say we did not try but we ran out of parts and were too tired to keep at it sooo we put a new bandied on and that will work until Monday when I will go and fix the leak if weather a louds. This means yet another day working in what I now call the pit. The only good thing is that most of the area were we pulled up grass we decided not to put grass back there and are instead going to but bark and bulbs. When it is done I hope to put photos up so you all can see just how much work I have done.

Well today mom and I spent the day digging up the side yard to find a leak. Yes mom had to take time off the help this was because I started the work on it and then found two problems, 1. Is the leak was so very bad that even before we found it we had to turn off the water. Then the 2nd thing was I just could not find this dam leak. But we could not turn the water back on until we found it. So after lunch mom can home and helped to find the pipe only to find that part of the pipe was copper so because we did not know if we could fix it call a plumber only to find that were the brake is plastic so we can fix it are selves but it is so late that we will not be able to really fix it till tomorrow were we have to dig a trench to get the amount of pipe we need exposed so we can fix this means tomorrow will be another big wet blah day

Well for those of you who don't know the county of Los Angles gives to employees how they trust one of two different work sejual. Either a 9 80 which the person works 9 hours 4 days a week 8 hours one and then gets a extra day off on the 10 th day or 4 80 which is just what it sounds like.
Well my mom is one of these workers and started this week her 9 80 what is weird is that she get tomorrow as her day off, It is cool that she gets one it is just odd that it is not a Monday or Friday though when she started back in Pasadena (she tranfed out then back in) they told her they had all the Mondays and Fridays full so she could only take one of the days Tuesday through Thursday.
I just think it will be a little weird to get a day off in the middle of the week though if I get the job in a museum because they will want me to work on weekends I might get the same thing.
This all can be nice though because it means that you can take care of things which are not open on weekends like mom's creidt union.
That does not stop it from being weird

Well we did it two days (I started before mom was ready) and a whole lot of work latter and the house is no longer a Christmas place. The boxes are all up in the attic and we are making the house look like it does 48 weeks of the year. The only problem is that now I have to start thinking about what to do with the rest of my life. I am applying for jobs left and right but it is not working right now and I am getting worried that I will be right here in this same room in my mom's house making little money and unable to move out on my own. This is what is happening to a friend of mine who got out of school in 2002 and is still living with her parents and unlike me she has a car. I am unsure were to turn and what to do so this does not happen to me!
All I know is that I need to get out of LA but that as of right now I don't have the money to move. If I stay here through in less I get a really great job (which I don't have the resume for) I am going to be stuck in this house because the cost of rent any were that would not freak my mom out is way too much. The other thing is that I can't go in with a roommate because all the people I now around here I could not live with!

As of right now I have a BA degree in history from California State University Northrdge. The last of the classes I took in Fall finally posted the final grades in the classes and I am now officially done with school for my BA. Now all I need is for them to mail me my diploma so that it feels official.

For those of you who did not watch the Rose Paraded over this passed weekend it poured buckets of rain. This broke the 50 year record of lack of rain on the paraded. Then today it was 74 degrees and tomorrow it is meant to get to 80 around here. This is way I think that so many people are getting colds around here.

I heard about a new web site which lets you trade book through the web for free!! All you pay is the shipping and then you get the right to trade with others. It is so cool because then you can look through all kinds of books and pay on $2. I found it threw a radio program. The name is Title Trader and is a great place to look.
