Hi

First today I went to the Los Angles Times Festival of Books at UCLA.

The way mom and I have been going for the last few years is that Vroman's has a bus that takes you from Vroman's in Pasadena to UCLA and back.
It is a nice way to go and everyone gets goody bag full of books and other stuff. So you get the price of the ticket for the bus back in books. I got nine of them this time plus bookmarks, a hat, and a shirt.

When I was there I saw three panels one with Dave Barry which was funny, then one about the Lost Boys of Sudan this one was sad but hopeful, then I when and heard The Rockbottom Remainders which was really good to hear, finally I heard a panel on the Roots of Religion which told a mix of old and new information.

The second good thing happened when I got home. When I came home I found a newsletter from the Friends of the Altadena Library that had my photo in it. That just feels so very good to say. The guy saw one of my photos on Flickr of the library and used it to show the changes which have been made to the library.

Was sitting inside the house when I started to hear this really weird screeching noise.
When I when out to look and see what was going on I found one of my cats killing a squirrel.
He had it in his mouth and every time he moved it screamed out.
I when and made Phantom (the cat) drop it not because I did not think he should kill what he catches but I was worried the squirrel would give him something if it bite him.
He was so mad at me because not only did I make him drop his kill but to stop him from going after it I brought him inside for an hour.

It is end of the week in mom's week long vacation and mom has only spent one day doing what she wanted.

This is because of the fumigation that is going to start on Monday. The problem is that we had to clean out 1 to 2 feet around both are our house and the tenets house too. The only good thing is that it took time but it was not hard and for our house one side we don't have to clean out because it is already cleaned out.

The nice thing for me is because I can't stay at home and I am not working my mom is paying for me to go out on the town for two days. Also I refuse to spend a day in a hotel room with nothing to do. So that is way she is paying for me to go out for the day.

The only problem is that Monday is May the 1st and I feel like I should join in with the protest that are going to happen but because of the fumigation I can't, or can I?

Yesterday mom and I when to Disneyland for 4 hours.

It was fun and what amazes me is how many other people came too. Not just people with annual passes but also people who bought a pass to go that day. The only nice thing was that most of the people who came were families with small children so most of the rides I wanted did not have long lines

I also felt like taking tons of photos which I put on Flickr.

Then after we came home so mom could work on some stuff after which we when to Denny's for dinner (No dirty dishes Yea)

1 Year Ago I was going to school at California State Northridge and interning at Museum of the American West

5 Years Ago April of 2001 I was also going to school but at this time it was a community college called Pasadena City College and it was the last semester of college and I was waiting for new about SFSU (which I got into)

10 Years Ago April of 1996 like 1 and 5 years I was in school but this time it was my high school Blair.

Between the 5 and 10 year mark is when I think I changed the most with things like my brake down which help me grow. A long with going to England and Eureka which showed me more of the world.

I found this site through my sister's site and feel that this is something that we all need to belive and know when we look around. This site tells people some of the small things that your tax money pay for.
The best part of the site is at the very bottom were if you belive what the site says has a question you need to as to the other side. Oh I will give it away what would happen if we got rid of all taxes. Now stop and think of all the things that taxes pay for!
Were your Taxes go is an important thing to think about.

I saw this on my sister's site and so I will tell you that Michael S. Cox is a spammer. Though I can't prove it but I feel if he is he deserves all that he gets.

On the property that our house is on has two homes. The first we live in (me and mom) and the other we rent out. Well one of the two people who live in the house we rent out found sawdust in a bag that was sitting on a shelf. So we had someone come out and look and found that we have termites not use in there house but in ours too. So today we set-up for them to come and fumigate both homes on the first week of May. This means that we will have to move out cats and all for two and 1/2 days. The only good thing is that the only thing we will have to total replace most of the floor boards on what is now mom's porch (Elaine will know it as hers) and two or three floor boards in a closet. Other then that there is not any real bad damage any were in either house.

Today again it is raining which has been doing for the last three days. It is going to keep doing that for big chunks of last week and part of next. The reason this is a problem is because it is April in LA. This area at this time should be done with the rain for the year! It is not that I don't like rain because I do, but we need the weather to dry up if we ever hope to get the spring veggs garden in on time for them to grow. The only good thing about all the spring rain and snow is we got little to no rain this past winter so we do need the rain. Also all the rain means we are getting the inside jobs done. So I guess the rain is not that bad after all.
